I decided to put alerts on stock I already have and just make a few cents profit, or break even. I am done listening to advice from people here. For every 10 totally going to moon stock, 9 of them go down and the remaining one isn't enough to cover the costs. Maybe one day I'll find a small community that can offer real advice and actual insider information instead of reporting what they saw on the reddit or sockwits. 4chan in general is way too mainstream. It used to be this place was the first to have news that benefited people, but now by the time it hits here, it's already too late. Instead of being at the top of the pyramid, we're on the bottom. Also, there do seem to be some people here who do in fact know reliable information. But guess what, those people almost never tell anyone here. Occasionally someone here will talk about how they made huge profits on something they invested in the day prior because they knew something no one else did, but checking the archive, that stock isn't mentioned once. So thanks asshole for not sharing the wealth. I'll close with this, if anyone here wants to actually make money in stocks, only invest in big corps whose stocks are at least 50-60 dollars already. Returns might be smaller due be being able to buy less, but at least they are actual returns. And this is logic anyone could have told you without ever once coming here.

I mean, the company is displaying an overall negative trend, but only time will tell if you really fucked up. I guess it also depends on how many shares you bought. Could be pretty superficial either way.

Regardless I’d recommend waiting for some positive uptrend in the stock charts before throwing money into a company. It’s like the other anon said, you’re trying to catch a knife without any real indication of turning.

That’s just my opinion though. I’m fairly new at stocks. I just do a lot of reading now. Tired of gambling.

If you don’t know how to develop an exit point you really need to get out of stocks like Tesla. Or I guess you could just hang onto it forever, since Tesla will probably continue to rise for years to come. Either way please learn about stock charts and how to use them.

They’re Lockheed Martin. I mean... it’s like KO or MCD isn’t it? They’re just not likely to stay down?

I believe they’re also supposed to have excellent free cash flow but I haven’t really examined the balance sheet, and the govt is just going to keep throwing money at them. Unless politicians are really going to start caring about military spending?

The arguement another anon brought up is that insurances and sellers want more expensive products because naturally the profit margins are higher on that.
If you have something expensive it will have higher profit. If it's cheaper the margin is smaller and you need volume to profit.

The trading halt definitely had a negative effect. After-hours trading is always lower volume and the bump would have been bigger without it. That said, everything was basically priced in and it would have only made the fall back down to these levels on Monday morning more painful for those who didn't sell the top.

Stocks move down on nothing but "fake news" all the time. Hell AMRN has done nothing wrong. The earning reports have all said the same thing: Sales & Profit is climbing. Which is really all you need to know. If Profit was slipping well, then the company may be in trouble, short term, long term ,depending on how bad the slippage was. People said "oh AMRN will be screwed during the Adcom" Well the results spoke loud and clear. AMRN won. Then people said "the FDA will fuck them over in dec" Again AMRN won. So now AMRN is the winner and the market is trying hard to keep the price down. Why? Cause a lot of people bet AMRN would get the shaft by the FDA. Big money kinda stayed away before the winner was declared. This is a way for Big Money to get in on the ground floor before AMRN takes flight. It also makes AMRN look better to Big Pharma in buyout terms. 8 Billion market cap may be to big to swallow. A 7.5 Billion one however may go down easier.

I mean.. what more do you need? Also just to point it out, even though I view crypto as useless I still believe that BTC is here to stay. I don't see it just vanishing now that it has made a mark for a decade and there will be an even worse "cleansing" happening that will get rid of most crypto's out there and when the bear market is finally over BTC will most likely head to a new all time high, I don't doubt that for a second. The problem with that though is it could be years away from happening. I bought my first few bitcoins in 2013, forgot about it (thankfully or I would have probably sold it all when BTC hit 1k) and sold it all when I heard the news about it being at 17k. That was 5 years of waiting FOR ME, it was even worse for people that had to wait almost a decade which I heard mostly sold everything much earlier.. so, strap in.

Possibly but it's in early stages if so. Take a look at the chart with candles (1day) and note how LULU has a fairly consistent pattern: leg up, series of inside candles sideways followed by two day drop below that sideways range, then it pumps. In other words if you see a -1%-5% candle below the current level followed by a green candle the next day that closes at least three quarters up the range of the previous red = buy that shit.

Valuations are in a 1999/2000 scenario right now. It will keep going up until either a black swan comes along ("smoking gun" during impeachment for instance) or the Fed throws in the towel.

You're already getting mutterings about a rate increase in 2021. The market could take a shit about that in late 2020.
