Economic power in essence is political power. This goes all the way back to the development of agriculture on a mass scale, where massive amounts of labor needed to be organized in order to meet the needs of society. Machines do work that is valuable, but who should get the benefit of this work? The worker that is operating the machine, but didnt sacrifice to build the machine. Or. The one who sacrificed time and effort and resources to build the machine.
Building modern machinery takes a lot of sacrifice. Ships, factories, etc. In essence, should workers or investors benefit from the work machines do. Who gets this cut?

Fuck you and you're simplistic question you sarcastic cunt, we all know that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and that the facilities and assets (and supplier networks and sometimes corporate culture created by) owned by employers helps multiply the value creation ability of employees.
Employees are nessecary though, without them there's no one to operate the equipment, to turn raw materials into value-added products. However, where everyone gets their panties in a bunch is they forget that the total value created by the employers is greater than if the employees did it alone.

The capitalist in this case should benefit from the output produced by the capital. The worker gets paid, and can feed their family. As long as this balance is sustained, so is peace. When profits turn to loss, people are jobless and starve. Same goes for employee pay being too low or work conditions being abusive. Then capitalist ultimately suffers. This is econ 101 mate.
