Thanks anon!

I'm on my second read through of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I understand most of the basic concepts that Kiyosaki is talking about, but I don't get the "Pay yourself first" thing. It read something to the effect of

>Rich dad: I didn't say you shouldn't pay your bills, I said I pay myself first before I pay anyone else. Even the Government.

Is the idea to simply invest as much money as you can comfortably, and try to time the generated returns/passive income to give you enough back to pay bills, rent/mortgage, etc., then do the same thing the next month?

If that's the case, it almost sounds like he is advising to live paycheck to paycheck, but to do it in such a manner that the amount of the "paycheck" gained from your investments simply increases to a larger and larger scale.

Can some helpful anon give me a pointer here?

Investing? Some of these books will help.
Trading? None of them will.
