Yes it may dip but tank? Hell no. The party as they say is just getting started. There's still more good news in the wings. Canada approval for one, a Buyout for another. Even if a buyout don't take place for a while, so what? The stock price will climb all throughout the year due to demand and drug profit out the ass. There's a shit load of people in the U.S alone who can now take this drug. Add Canada and the rest of the world to that and well, to say this current price is "cheap" is putting it very mildly.

For me AMRN is not just another stock. Some people just go "hey if I make money great, if I don't oh well" Which is fine and to be honest that's the right way to go about it. But for me, losing money on the deal was never an option cause I need all the money I can get. Long story short; I'm 36, didn't save as much as I should've during my 20's/early 30s. So now my retirement plan is kinda lacking. AMRN is a way to correct that mistake and give my retirement plan a big kick in the ass. Sure I've got a pension and a 401 and now a brokerage, etc. Both the pension and 401 are doing rather well, but still. It don't mater how good the investments are doing if your still behind as it were. All the retirement people tell you this; "by age 40 your on track for a nice retirement if you have double your salary in the bank (or invested)" Thanks to AMRN I'll hit that mark about 4 years sooner.

The game isn't rigged so much as people need to do their due diligence. The estimated annual sales potential for Vascepa is somewhere in the range of $2-4 billion. Generally these stocks will trade in the range of 3-4 times their annual sales. That means the company at it peak may be worth somewhere between 6 and 16 billion, but currently isn't selling anywhere near that much Vascepa. Prior to the approval announcement the market cap was 8.8 billion. This should have told people that approval was already priced in to a large extent if not completely so.

This is one of the reasons I don't trade on fundamentals. You get all worked up about news and then pissed off when the thing doesn't do what you think it ought be doing in reaction to said news. It was, I wanna say about a year an a half ago, I was trading my old (shit) strat of half TA half FA kinda winging it, I was holding GOOS in to earnings knowing to a fairly high degree of confidence that they would beat. They did beat. Buuuuuut the stock dropped 12.5% that day and another 3.5% the following day. A real fuck me kinda move, I thought. The thing is you need to expect the market to do things you don't understand. That's why staying diversified across a number of sectors is important, being cautious, taking partial profit, and so on are all important.

Speaking of GOOS, I just glanced at their chart and see it did a dump on earnings beat this year in May that was way worse than the one I held through: earnings beat, -31%. How about that? lol.

if you can make over 10% every single year, then that's not too bad (but you also have to consider tax inefficiency)
something tells me that your strategy is pretty bad, and you will want to try a more advanced div capture strategy to achieve better gains. There is almost never a time that you want to hold something just because it's below an arbitrary price (in this case, the price you bought it).
What is the longest that you were stuck in a position?
I think with div capture you want to keep moving regardless of price movement to keep hitting the divvies, you want more churn, more payouts. don't sit holding a bag and not getting paid because the stock price went down...
again, I'm not an expert on div capture strategies, but I think you want to avoid getting bogged down, you want to be capturing divs as often as possible.

>Trump is going to be re-elected. The democrats are so short-sighted with this impeachment shit.

Last time the Republicans tried to impeach it nearly cost them the 2000 election and that was with actual evidence, a crime, and the president lied to the American public on live television. Impeachment is political suicide the Democrats just killed their hopes for 2020 and possibly 2024 and beyond. If Pelosi is smart she will use this failed impeachment as a weapon against the radical elements within the democratic party like AOC and turn the party into something electable next time around.

Economy did that.

Trump is set financially, he setup his reelection machine earlier than any other standing president in U.S. history. He has no need to fund AOC due to Democrats fielding weak 2020 candidates nor are they on good terms with each other.

Cause the longer AMRN goes it alone the higher that stock price will climb and thus the more Green Bags Big Pharma would have to fork out.

At any rate, the hard part is over with. Now those who're in AMRN can kick back and relax a bit. After all the outlook for the company from here on is very bright indeed. i use it on a lot of things. the nice thing with the vwap is that it allows you to know if the vwap is rising or falling very accurately. combine that with a momentum and volume indicator and you're pretty much good to go. i was just surprised how much better it seems to be to use the HMA of the VWAP instead of just the HMA of the closing price or even HL2.

it seems it costs money to get though. it's proprietary? also the trick with the hull is that it's not just the color that's significant (i.e. positive/negative slope), but the relation of price to the HMA as well. you'll often see that the price action crossing beneath the HMA in an uptrend is an early warning that the trend may be ending soon. it's a momentum thing. having a long term and short term HMA helps a lot too (i.e. there may be a short term pullback in an uptrend instead of a real reversal).

honestly it's mostly about trader psychology and risk management. if you're rock solid on those you could literally just flip coins to decide whether to go long or short on any given trade and make money in the long term. any professional will tell you this. after that it's just about figuring out a system or pattern that you learn inside and out that gives you better odds than a coin flip, there are tons of ways and they can all be used successfully. the common theme is going to be psychology and risk no matter what.

Question about trading... Of all the things you can know or not know about the market, magnitude of a move in your favor or against you is one of the things in the category of outcomes you can't know, or at the very least can't reliably know, right? This is pretty much what gives rise to the concept of "letting winners run and cutting losers short" and in some cases using partial position sizes (as a means to adapt to the uncertainty of the move) correct?

I'm asking this only because at this point at my skill level (breakeven to consistently profitable) the major thing that fucks with my performance is not getting a big enough piece of winners or going for too big of a winner and giving back a decent amount of profits or even having a winner swing to a losing position (especially when scalping). Most of the other usual suspects of trading I have covered or I'm actively improving each day. Profit targets seem to be a total crapshoot though.

Any videos of traders who do this amazingly? How do guys deal with this?

Because the news of the discontinuation of the 737 was already priced over the last weeks.
Something is going on thats good for Boeing.
We will see in a couple weeks, when the good news releases, and the stock then drops.

It’s a duopoly. Boeing and airbus. So eventually, the 737max gets approved and Boeing goes to 400.

Or at least, that’s what Cramer was saying this morning. Lot of big moneys folks are afraid of missing that move and keeping it from dropping to 300.

Fuck Boeing. They’re going to measurably knock gdp and exports, and have really compromised the status of the US faa.

I agree BA will overcome all of this, but not in the short term. Right now the impatient are the ones unwilling to wait for a bottom which is not even near yet, the recovery starts late 2020 or even 2021.

In which aspect? Trump wanting to get out?
For him this was all a self-advertisement move he didnt even expect to win.
Or about nobody doing shit to him if he refuses to leave office?

because of how lucrative it is even in spite of that, obviously. if i told you i would give you a million dollars but the government will take a third of that would you just be like "nah no thanks"? an exaggeration of course, but you get the idea. even with that i still make way more money than i ever did in my old day job and i can do it naked in my home if i want.

Well, assuming you're in America. You can trade up properties to avoid capital gains. You can also write off a lot of the shit you have to pay for as expenses so most of the equity gains just get snowballed into bigger properties with 80% leverage while you take the rent after all expenses are subtracted and pay a generally lower tax on that "income" rather than capital gains. There are some other systems you can use to avoid taxes with properties in other countries but from what I can tell America is the best. That's why I want to move there.
