BTC longs have had a parabolic run up since Nov 23rd. Is there something they know that we don't?

Maybe or maybe not bobo. It really might be that the bottom is in and smart money knows it. OR, it can have the opposite effect of a short squeeze. If there is a big enough sell off it will cascade in all those longs selling too creating a massive red dildo to fuck them.

>> No.16547865

>>16547845
this, very much so

Since all the order books are fake, and all the volume is wash, the only liquidity in this pathetic excuse of a market is a short or a long squeeze. Get your anuses ready, the drop is going to be big, quick and glorious

>> No.16547940

how is it possible that longs are ath, but the fear-greed index is at 'extreme fear' at the same time?

if these are whales with deep pockets and not retards then it's bad for bobos. because they will send the price up and make a fucking bank.

seems like bullish divergence. indicator trends are disagreeing with the price action. doesn't necessarily mean the bottom is in, but it's likely coming soon if it isn't already.

>> No.16547999

>>16547987
it's extremely likely that we are nowhere near the bottom. this has happened twice before on btc and it went down about 60-70% from the local high in this case that's 14k.

>> No.16548011

>>16547999
and 70% would bring us to 4k region but it's entirely possible it bounces from 6500 and then goes lower.

we went up too hard and too fast and now at a critical point before the halving the market turned bearish this increases the systematic risks which makes smart money and institutions want to wait on the sidelines. and i can't blame them. i was pretty bullish before summer altho i had a bad feeling this shit would happen but we could have suffered in august and have a steady in the fall acceleration in the winter and go into halving in a bull market. this sucks ass now.

Legit question. How much of an actual difference does it make to not buy now but rather at 5k?
Isn't the 25-30% extra btc for your dollar quite a high risk than to end up buying it at a premium later? I know I sound like a permabull but I'm just trying to justify the risk/reward ration.

could be a lot worse the halving is a traumatic event for btc going into it on a bearish stance is dangerous as hell also never happened before.

and yes basically my advice would be you can buy any time don't hesitate to enter the market on a dip. if it goes lower you can calmly carefully short it down.

if that's too risky for you start dca-ing yesterday.

>> No.16548225

>>16548162
on strategy i like is enter the market by buying btc and also short equal amount of value on bitmex.

two things can happen: the price goes down, you get the difference in the short, bull is confirmed, you exit the short on the backtrace with a tiny loss. meanwhile you get funding which is positive 80% of the time.

imagine the worst thing that can happen and it will. it will smash BTC lower, then when long hope is gone and shorts are celebrating, it'll blast to new highs. everybody gets raped friendo. exchanges and whales will extract every Satoshi they can. when you can move markets why wouldn't you? all those juicy positions to liquidate. yummy

Is there a metric somewhere that tracks the mined bitcoin and how much of it gets sold on market over time? I suspect miners are very aware of the expected halvening bull run and are hoarding now (whereas they might not have before this trend was established). There’s so much expectation of a halvening pump that all the supply might come to market when everyone wants the trend to play out
