Doubtful and we'll probably have entirely new types of governments when the fourth industrial revolution kicks into full gear.

On one hand digital money can help you control a 21st century society with an iron fist like in China with their social credit score system. But in freer countries we probably won't be using much digital money until we have robots and AI performing services for us and when that fully develops government will have to develop with it because when the cost of simply living life goes way down and you have robots farming, printing, or cloning your food or robots building your house people aren't going to be working the same way and they're not going to be paying taxes the same way.

Kind of, not in the way you think though. Asians and people of the east cannot be communist, Marx stated this himself. Communism will arise organically (without revolution) in the west through hypertechnocapitalism. Think of companies like uber; it eliminates the need for the average person to own a car. Private property is slowly taken away by a technostate/aristocracy. We are speedrunning this change in systems of human development in real time.
