Eth2.0 phase 0 rolls out early 2020. You enter a smart contract where you burn your eth1.0 ether and generate an eth2.0 ether for the purpose of staking.

So essentially were going to have two different tokens (like ETH/ETC) and the supply of eth1.0 is about to experience a burn. You can't send eth2.0 ether back to the original chain making it essentially locked in the new chain for staking. the supply of eth1.0 is therefore about to get reduced significantly given the return rates from staking compared to DeFi.

How is this not an argument for the price pumping as supply gets cut big time and assuming demand stays the same or increases? Buy ether now

It is bullish. Ontop of ETH being at multi year lows on the ratio, I think a great buying opportunity will present itself very soon. I still expect BTC to test 6k-6100 area, ETH will probably drop to about $120 when BTC drops. If we get a bullish bounce from there I'm leverage long ETH and BTC in late Dec or January.

ratios are irrelevanr. sentiment is what matters in crypto and eth does not have it. it is going down. incompetent devs don't help. communists don't help. consensys sending an employee to north korea doesn't help. vitalik wisjing him well on his way to north korea doesn't help.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck! That's a fucking taxable event here in America and most of the world God dammit
>staking
And that's taxable income

So I have to pay tax on all of my ETH that I turn into ETH2.0 and then pay taxes on my staking income. When does it end???

TWO different chains. Rewards on both chains. POW rewards on ETH1. POS rewards on ETH2. Supply gets cut big time? Look up inflation moron.
