I'm thinking of opening a Charles Schwab bank account for international travel since they don't charge atm fees but they do a Hard Inquiry on your credit, and I don't have any credit whatsoever.
How bad would it be if this was my first thing on my credit score?

I made an account with them. Chex systems does the credit inquiry for them. My credit score is shit and they found out, closing my checking account. Charlie doesnt want my money

Are you talking about opening a checking/savings account with Schwab? I don't see why they would care about your credit in that instance since you won't be borrowing money from them [your comment about ATM fees suggests to me that you do a lot of transactions using cash.]
