I'm young enough to do either or. The military is obviously the most direct route, but I said it earlier in the thread that you have to gamble on them even giving you your desired MOS/Rating. People join the military out of desire to serve/desperation first, then career goals are a distant second because they aren't really guaranteed. The civilian path is longer, more expensive, and obtuse, but it seems like more of a sure thing.
