But seriously what is their to learn? Finance is about loaning money out to clients at set rates based on risk via analysis. There's nothing really to it or anything exciting.

Two possibilities.
#1 they didnt know shit.
This is unlikely because they almost had to have learned at least the basics due to their jobs.

#2 they ran the numbers and realized you were a waste of resources.
This is almost certainly what happened. They knew you’d grow up during a time when memes were being created by the millions to shill people into buying imaginary “currency” that is ultimately worthless. They knew if they told you to buy metal and blue chip stocks, which have paid off for the entire history of their existence, you’d laugh and call them boomers because your brain has been softened by memes.

They knew that work would become less and less fulfilling, increasing your susceptibility to internet get rich quick schemes. The idea of working hard over the course of many years while your investments steadily rose would be distasteful to you, and you’d instead get robbed by pajeets of what little extra money you earned by working for a company that literally puts you in a cage.
