It's not uncommon for corporate managers to be forced to tell you a place where you can improve, even if it's bullshit. When I worked at regal cinemas it was the same bullshit. They tell you you're doing fine but you could be a little better in X catagory. My manager would tell me I was doing fine but that I could work a little faster, which I knew was bullshit because I was faster than most, but I'd smile and just say "You got it!". Don't let it get you down, and if you feel he's right ask him to elaborate with specific examples. Feign interest in your improvement and passively call him out.

It just occurred to me today that most Boomers got to spend their entire lives at work working with people who were all the same race, religion and general age group that they were hence finding it so much easier to socialise and build network contacts and make friends whereas I am literally the only white male at my work in my age group and don't have one single real friend in the place and are miserable outcast with little to no prospects of advancement as a result.
