If you're in the US there are laws protecting you for the major things that need repairs. Some places will even let you withold rent until it's fixed. Is this a normal thing where you are? I'm assuming NYC or another major city. I've seriously never heard of someone it before.

My landlord forces us to clean her bathroom every goddamn weekend, has us keep all of our possessions in our room only, has two nasty dogs with hair that gets everywhere, and has the balls to ask us for 'favors' like driving her to the airport, taking out her yardwaste, and receiving the gas points we get from our kroger purchases.

And the biggest jew thing of all is that we're paying her house off through renting.

American, and I've never tipped a landlord in my life. The only people I've ever heard of doing that were in high end buildings in NYC.
