two conflicting sides:

1. I need to work hard, because it's about virtue and character. Personally It's already in ruins and I need to recover it via discipline.
2. If I work hard i'm not gonna be paid more, i'm just gonna waste my energy.

Working as a bin man and in a meat packing plant were good ways for me to make money with barely any thinking
Only do it for short periods of time though, because the monotony might be bad for your mental health

Also here some physical labour jobs get extra bonuses due to the strain on the body
