Probably going to sound naive (mostly because I am) but can anyone get into stocks? Like buying and selling, and if so, what would be the best way for a beginner to start?

unironically wait for the recession before putting anything in unless you want to lose all of your money

once the recession kicks in come back and I'll give you the instructions on what to do next

Yes, Anyone can get into stocks.
E- trade,TDameritrade and robinhood are great ways to buy stock. When you buy a stock, You want to buy low, So that you can sell it at a future date for a higher price. When you sell a stock and make profit you must pay capital gains tax in the US dependent on your income. If you make less than 39,000$ you pay 0% on your profit, If you make more than that you will pay 15%. Some good stocks to watch right now are AT&T, HIMAX, GOOGLE. In my opinion, You should not be buying stock right now and you should be watching all stocks for the moment they crash and then buy them up in mass amounts. Start with 1000 shares.

In the modern age, almost anyone with a bank account can buy stocks. Most big banks have a brokerage (a section of the bank dedicated to buying and selling stocks and other investments) under different "brand names". The easiest way to get started is to just walk into your bank and ask for "Brokerage Accounts" they'll walk you through the whole thing. Just don't sign for any products they try to sell you that lock away your money for years at a time, and watch some youtube tutorials about investing with certain banks you're interested in.

The entire market is overbought and speculation is running rampant. Like >>16383985 says, wait a year or two and save your money before jumping in. Watch plenty of financial news, but never take it as gospel.
