>you can't just do nothing all the time
>go get a pointless job
>go indebt yourself for a worthless education

If I'm reasonably well off and take 4 months off from my job every year to literally vegetate and do fuck all, what's wrong with that? Is there something wrong with living the millennial dream?

people like to forget that the universe is inherantly meaningless, and that no human is under any obligation to do anything, other than the obligations that they themselves adhere to. Ie. All meaning is relative to its societal context. There is no such thing as immortal moral truths. There are only actions which increase suffering and actions which decrease suffering.

You could be using that time to earn more money. Money now is always more valuable than money later. You can always take however long of a vacation you want when you are retired.

I do the same thing. Work aside from money is meaningless.
My life for the past few years has been simple. Work for a little bit. Have enough money to live for many months doing nothing.
Once my wallet gets light, start working again. Money can always be earned. Especially if you have skills. If you're dependent on being someones employee, such a lifestyle is more difficult to maintain.

I used to say yes to this question. Then everyone I tried to teach would back out and waste my time. Sorry bud.

If: a College degree is basically worthless gatekeeper
And: There is no guaranteed money making degree
Then: Major in something you enjoy doing at a cheap college and stop treating education like an investment

Debt isn't mandatory. You'll never trip if your degree wasn't expensive and your cost of living is low. Why not take 4 months off if you've got the rent and can keep the lights on?

Hey, a little late to the thread. How do you find clients, and how have you determined a fair rate for your work? Any and all suggestions (even oddly specific lessons you've learned) are appreciated. Thanks!
