People backed Ver, whose 'business' was just selling shit on ebay and even then he ended up in prison. BCH is slowly fading into obscurity, their recent update was a complete nothingburger.

Then there's the Australian cosplaying as Satoshi. Sorry guys but even long before his cosplay and failed crypto ventures began he was in contempt of court. He's still doing it now and still wasting other people's money.

It's cheap to buy relative to bitcoin. People think they'll make more % gains in the future. While I don't see a lot of original things from Charlie I do get the impression that he is at least honest and doing useful things (like integrating litecoin with lightening etc).
