I have a programming job that I really like and has a decent pay.
A friend of mine said they are also looking for a programmer at their place and invited me in for an interview. I don't know anything about the new job including the pay

What should I look out for, and what should I ask? Also, at what salary should I jump ship? If it was 30% more I automatically would, but I am not sure about 5%

check levels.fyi for what other people at your level/ years of experience are making on average and shoot for above average comp

if you're a new grad, expect 200k+ at good companies, 300+ for mid-level, 400+ is doable for senior but you have to interview well

Not American, I apparently make more than the average despite still being in college, but local stats are famously inaccurate

5% increase is not worth risking giving up a place you like working at for a place that could be fucked
