Why is no one using LINK?

It's been 5 months since mainnet yet no one uses LINK? Or am I wrong?

Why would staking change any of this, if there is no usage there are no rewards right? You'd think that in 5 months someone would use LINK but no..

mainnet will be finished in early 2020.
chainlink already has dozens of partners (actually hundreds really if the breadcrumbs are true) ready to jump in once it's done. it can't really be used until service agreement is finished.

Oh so LINK isn't fully functional yet then? So is staking and service agreement the only things missing for 100% mainnet completion? What is service agreement and why isn't it solved yet?

Not trying to fud, I own 12k links just curious how this works..

If you actually look at link, it's incredibly overpriced for what it is. It's all hype and still unproven, it shouldn't be anywhere near how expensive it is.

It's all hype, you have to have massive trust in the project, but just in general something this unproven should not be in the price range it is

seriously though synthetix using chainlink is the adoption we're looking for. this is one of the exact use cases i've been waiting to see in all of crypto. a fuck load of assets on chain. every kind of investment on chain.

Are you aware how innovative technology is chainlink building ? You simply cannot expect that it will explode after 5 months of mainnet. Mainnet doesn't mean everything is finished, it is only a beginning. It is still in 0.7.9 version now. Wait for 1.0.0 at least. First of it's kind protocol that will affect many industries - be patient.

Not to mention it is possible that they already finished project "locally" and public github is simply intentionally delayed because they have to wait for something/somebody. For now just enjoy how perfectly it behaves when market is crashing.

Well put.

Don't get me wrong, I do not doubt the success of LINK, I was merely curious to what the next steps in the process will be since we haven't seen any usage yet. No one seems to want to address my (albeit stupid) question about service agreements, staking and how these would bring usage to the network. It's not enough for a network to succeed to have a bunch of neets wanting to make passive income on their stacks y'know
