>google the word: patent troll

Patent troll:
>In international law and business, patent trolling or patent hoarding is a categorical or pejorative term applied to a person or company that attempts to enforce patent rights against accused infringers far beyond the patent's actual value or contribution to the prior art, often through hardball legal tactics

So it is trying to enforce a patent beyond what the patent covers. I don't really see your argument. Care to explain?

That's exactly what i don't want to do. Some meta-analysis of what get's patented would be nice.

Methods for smart contract?
wallet patents?
Copypaste on the same basic blockchain tech?

Would be interesting to know.

google it and you can find the complete pdfs for the patents.

>Copypaste on the same basic blockchain tech?
No, not copypaste. Contrary to what the retards here say, it is a very rigorous process to get a patent granted. You will not get a patent for something that is already in the public. It has to be something NEW and USEFUL

Patents get retracted all the time because someone proves it already existed beforehand. The system is anything but perfect.

Also

ain't nobody taking the system serious.

>The system is anything but perfect.
I mean it is perfect. The process is very rigorous, not unfailable. You won't get 800 patents granted and then it turns out half of them are prior art and not valid. 2 or 3 maybe

If i remember right it's possible to lose a lot in one go given right circumstances. If you build a tower where one patent relies on another and the bottom goes bust you can lose the tower because suddenly it's not yours and the new application is not big enough to warrant giving you rights considering you don't own the base method.

-was info from a lecture on patents for chemistry. Software might be different though.

"A higher limit can be phased in once we have actual use closer to the limit and make sure it's working OK.

Eventually when we have client-only implementations, the block chain size won't matter much. Until then, while all users still have to download the entire block chain to start, it's nice if we can keep it down to a reasonable size.

With very high transaction volume, network nodes would consolidate and there would be more pooled mining and GPU farms, and users would run client-only. With dev work on optimising and parallelising, it can keep scaling up.

Whatever the current capacity of the software is, it automatically grows at the rate of Moore's Law, about 60% per year." Satoshi 2010

none of that is really proof though. and Im not trolling here I want to believe. craig blows my mind on the regular with the stuff he says on podcasts and interviews. but then he turns around and does some straight up retarded shit that makes him lose all credibility in my eyes. I wish it would be a clearer picture but I guess he just doesnt give a fuck. either hes the hardest working scammer on the planet or hes the real deal I dunno. either way I have a small stake in BSV so I can at least board the citadel if this is all for real.
