For those of us who arent cringe-tier plebbit-coiners and actually invest like an adult...

Whats your index fund stack? What fund companies do you prefer? What sector ETFs are you in?

Core Holdings:
>SCHX (Schwab Large Cap ETF)
>SCHA (Schwab Small Cap ETF)
>SCHD (Schwab US Dividend ETF)
>FTEC (Fidelity Technology ETF)

I've been dollar cost averaging into Global X ETFs
>CLOU
>BOTZ
>FINX
>POTX

In what way? I am pretty sure Schwab and Fidelity have lower OERs now.

VTI for most of my life but I switched to short term treasuries a few months ago.

Honestly the difference between .04% fee and 0% is negligible so I feel no need to switch, further Vanguard is owned by its customers and I think the people running the fund are more capable.

How have you done on GBTC? I have been looking at this for a while now.

Also, why VTSAX and VTI in your IRA?

No...it could be way worse. Honestly, if you dont know what you are doing, a target fund is just fine. It essentially does all the rebalancing work for you.

Having said that, if you arent planning on touching the money until 2055 (presumably your retirement date), then you will have more growth potential by just investing in a total stock market index fund. As long as you stay invested and dont sell out of it when the market takes a dive.

>> No.16325454

I just put money into VOOV but good on your for picking FTEC. A 42% YTD is impressive for an index fund, amazing gains for only a .08% expense ratio jesus

I'm selling off my VTSAX every month and moving more to VWLTX and Crypto. It's been over 10 years since the last major stock market crash. Sure, S&P500 might keep going up but I'm not taking that risk.

Thanks, yeah I got into it in January 2017 when it was still in the $35 range. It was definitely a good investment, but I recognize I got lucky too

1. I hope you didnt buy this in an IRA
2. I hope you are in a high income tax bracket to justify a muni bond fund

I wish I'd have done GBTC back in 2015 like this guy had in the image. I didn't even have the balls to buy it in 2017. I bought from $4-6 range 2018-19. I should have sold at around $17, ended up selling at $13 and I've only kept a few thousand. When it was around $17 it was like 80% of my HSA and IRA. You get a high when you make that kind of money over a few months in a retirement account but it's fucking depressing when you lose that much in a week. I couldn't stomach the volatility in a retirement account. Of course, I am going to regret this if Bitcoin goes parabolic again.

>> No.16325530

>>16325511
I'm only talking about taxable account. My IRAs are 100% in VTSAX.

Oh yeah, good mention about the tax bracket. I 'm actually a NEET now so I should probably buy other bond funds... I used to be high income until last year when I quit.
