Clarifying some disinformation that is often being spread in threads like this:
>Pi is not mined by app users, it is a pre-mined token
>The App does consume miniscule amounts of power, approx 1-5 cents a year, depending on local prices
>though often implied, the size of the group whose member's code you use is irrelevant to your bonus (inviter gets +0,25 per invitee; invitee becomes a new inviter; repeat ad infinitum), "join the X number of us" is a misleading phrase since you will ever only be connected to one person in the group, the inviter.
That being said: Pi is an interesting project, it is "free" money since token value can not be 0.00 $ and power consumption is negligible. Halving steps for artificial scarcity are being executed faithfully so far. Thus, the sooner you get in the more you can gain. Nobody knows where Pi will go once it hits exchanges but it's as good a shot as any obscure shitcoin.

My personal, subjective estimation is 0.5 to 1.0 cents per Pi, but it could be significantly higher. Pic related shows Pi futures being sold for 15 cents. If this should proof to be accurate, all app users who were frequently active before the 1 million halving are virtually guaranteed a small 3 digit sum, which isn't so bad considering most people trade all their personal data for crappy games that aren't even worth 50 cents...

Honestly, I don't really care about the value of Pi, I'm much more excited about the storefront. Once it is established millions of people will want to buy digital products on it, simply to confirm that the Pi token functions as a currency and can be exchanged for goods and services. Since nobody is taking Pi seriously at this point the storefront will most likely be empty once it's opened so there will be limited competition, extensive reach (10+ million users) and high demand which poses an amazing opportunity that is almost completely independent of the fiat value per Token.
Of course Pi could fall apart long before the storefront comes into reach. I'm very concerned about the fact that the white paper is written very unprofessional with dozens and dozens of selling errors despite being apparently written by "Stanford Graduates". But I'm still hoping that it could be a fake it till you make it type situation...

Personally I don't think this will be an issue because the graph on the front page is cleverly altered after every halving so the leftmost "step" on the earning rate is removed. Only a tiny fraction of users would go out of their way to research this detail. When you look in the English chat you'll quickly realise that most users struggle to string together a sentence.
We don't know what the requirements for "engaded pioneers" are, and I'd agree that it probably isn't the number of actual active users, but it's probably a number consisting of frequent or semi-frequent users that is considerably smaller than the all-time downloads of the app across all platforms.
