The index is not so easy to manipulate. Many sectors like Trump and are concerned about unfavorable tax increases under a democrat, especially with the platforms the current batch of dem frontrunners are proposing. Another 5% pullback is about due but i doubt there will be much more than that if blue chips continue to report acceptable earnings. 2018 was all about rapid rate hikes from a fed that, at the time, appeared recklessly hawkish. Fed have now retracted three of those four rate hikes this year and general equilibrium has been reached pending bullish or bearish news on the trade situation with China and possibly/probably brexit.

What do you think is more likely here during a recession that will dwarf the 2008 crisis..
1. People that are now unemployed will rally towards a left leaning party that promises free healthcare and subsidies by the billions to non-citizens which will make it even harder for the actual citizens to recover, higher taxes on everyone to ensure that these gibs programs works as they should (which means less money in the pocket of everyone)..
Or
2. People that are now unemployed will rally towards a right leaning party that promises less gibs to non-citizens, less taxes on everyone (which ensures a faster economic growth thanks to people being able to consume more)..

I mean, most people are sheeps. But when those sheeps gets scared history has shown that they will rally to safety, they won't rally to a party that promises less money and safety.

You will see crypto drop off a cliff FIRST before any big moves in DOW/S&P
Prepare those shorts lads
Godspeed to all those who were high enough IQ to buy real wealth instead of digital illusions of wealth. The meek shall inherit the world.
