No that's a knife catch. The MINIMUM criteria for buying a bearish stock is a high volume green candle followed by low volume consolidation OR a break above at least the 20 day moving average. At that point hop in with something small, slap a stop loss on so you don't ride it from bad to worse, and cross your fingers.

It seems Berkshire made some moves today. They sold Apple and bought RH (furniture company?) and OXY (petroleum). RH is in good shape technically and I think that may be something to keep an eye on for entry. OXY is mega bearish so I guess Papa Buffett had some fundamental reason to scoop up those shares. If he's bullish on energy sector I would appreciate that help as 70% of my portfolio is oil/gas/energy at the moment.

I learned a new word in an article about muh CHYNA just now.

fil·lip (fĭləp)
n.
1. A snap or light blow made by pressing a fingertip against the thumb and suddenly releasing it.
2. Something that excites or stimulates: "Spritely tabasco onions, just a little crunch for the top, were an added fillip" (Alison Arnett).
tr.v. fil·liped, fil·lip·ing, fil·lips
1. To strike or propel rapidly by a fillip: filliped my ear; filliped the pretzel across the counter.
2. To stimulate or arouse.

If it’s viacom, and I know that the bloatlord Bakish might turn this thing around, and it’s got an insanely low P/E with a decent yield and surprises to the upside on earnings, then I feel ok about it. Or if it’s GEO and they pay out a huge fukkin divvy, then it’s somewhat tolerable.

It'll have a bottom somewhere for sure. If any Canadian company survives it'll be that one. Canadian government must listen to what these companies have to say about the legal situation. Their product is regulated like none other. They can't really advertise at all. The supply line has all sorts of government roadblocks that severely hamper them, they can't sell at costs low enough to push out the black market. If the government does not respond they may kill the industry in infancy, the US will legalize, money will flow and Canada's early advantage will have been squandered.

I worry about this. Canada is much closer to recession than the US is at the moment. The one hope of economic stimulus you had and you piss it all away!? Fix it!

My dad died when I was 12 because he was a heavy drug addict who overdosed on an unknown substance and my mother used to be a heavy alcoholic who constantly ignored her parental duties. It went to the point that 'Social Services' took me away from her. I still have scars from when I tried to take her alcohol away from her and she scratched, punched and bit me.
On the upside though, I got really good at cooking.

Is it? It’s logical that it would, but I can’t point to any effects of inflation in the economy.

In times of inflation though, people tend to start spending faster. Companies with large cash hordes on the sidelines open their coffers, cap ex goes up, people want to use the cash before it drops in value. That should all be rather economically stimulating, as long as it isn’t out of control. But central bankers have strategies for slowing inflation, and the more they cut, the more room they have to raise rates.

Theoretically, of course.

>In times of inflation though, people tend to start spending faster.

and that's exactly what banks are doing with the extra cash, they're not going long on KO stocks if that's what you're implying. They're gambling up and down to maximise cash input and meet fed's quotas for the day so they can keep lending and receiving currency to/from other banks and keep the scam going.

>But central bankers have strategies for slowing inflation, and the more they cut, the more room they have to raise rates.

They're definitely not trying to curb inflation and it would be impossible at this point. If they cut currency supply at this point in the bubble, things go ugly very very quickly. There will not be interest rates increases anytime soon, mark my word.

In regards to AMRN....the thing is, there are people who have been annoyingly shilling it here for months. And it’s easy to go “what a scam” “shut up stop shilling ur shit” when so many people ARE shilling shit here.

It’s up to you to dig deeper and see if this scammy thing may actually have substance.

Honestly though, had I not listened to the Amarin shill at $14, and had a full day to do my research, I would’vd stayed far away from this jnstead of buying a position in it. The shills have seemed lame and shady.

But so was Ethereum when it was being shilled at $1, so there’s that...
