I'm a software developer but I hate coding, and I just want to sit in meetings all day and never do anything productive, so I was thinking of going back to school for an MBA to become a middle manager. Is this a good idea?

kind of need an extensive background first, but i feel you man.

I just started teaching myself how to use FPGAs and digital logic so i can work on more fun projects, than basic spreadsheet programs.
