I've come across a product that just entered the US market that I personally enjoy greatly - I have an opportunity to sell this product. Currently, there are only ~20 stores nationally (all mom & pop) selling this item - should I get in on the ground floor and start selling? They're offering a 15% commission after $35 sales in product - I figure I can canvas my own campus and nearby colleges and make a killing with a few hundred down.

Anyone ever do this before?

Black28.

An "Energy drink" out of Europe - generally sour, minimal artificial ingredients, and with a very appealing flavor (none of the chemical aftertaste present in every other version of boomer juice that I've tried).

Not extremely expensive either.

good luck competing with redbull and monster

Judging by the absurd number of energy drinks that every mom and pop shop/corner store around me offers - selling isn't an issue. Differentiation is.

You moron, he just said it has an edge over them because of the lack of chemical aftertaste. That's potentially extremely useful information.

Thanks for the sarcastic support, anon.

Forget it nigger

I am from Europe. They tried to push it quite some time with heavy ads. That shit didn't sell though. Now when I go through the supermarket I unironically see 5 cans of this shit, compared to 100 RedBull and 50 Monster. Nobody buys it.
Do something else. Fucking retard

If you're saying there are people who will buy it, I don't see why not do it, even if you don't make a killing with it, it's experience in sales. Goes well on your resume.

Aight, that's good information for me - I'm unsure how a drink this sour goes over with the general market and I was planning on doing some simple product demos at my uni (pretty common, I see dreamers attempting it all the time).

I wonder what the Asian market makes of it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Yes, dump your meager life savings into a fucking energy drink. I've seen a lot of dumb nigger posts on this shit board, but you may be King Dumb Nigger.

>meager life savings

bruh

If the US distributor wasn't already selling via Amazon I'd just purely dropship this liquid crack after an initial sales run. Shame it's made by >Germans instead of the Chinese, profit margins will never be as high as all the dropshipping turks around here.

Then again. There's a lot of things that worked in the USA but never in Europe.

Walmart. Taco Bell. Best Buy. Wendy's.

Europeans usually don't like big shops and chain brands, since we have a ton of small shops everywhere, and we don't even need a car to do our shopping.

As far as the energy drink. I googed it and their motto is "Be different. Drink Black 28. The better energy drink."

I can see why it would fail in Europe. We don't like brands, we like products.

In USA on the other way, people love brands, they identify quality with brand.

Interesting.
As an example: my local deli/corner stores support around 10-15 different energy drinks concurrently across at least half a dozen brands: this situation has lasted for years and new drinks are constantly expanding onto the market.

It seems to still have space for growth.

By the way. Have you tried something like this before?

How much profit do you usually make?

Im from the UK. We have car boot sales every sunday (kinda like flea market) and I for one buy video-games and consoles. I make about 100$ per week for 3-4 hours worth of work. I have 4 ps3s and about 30 video games that I listed on ebay. I pay around 20-25 GBP per ps3 and sells for 50-60 GBP online (64-77$). Video games I usually buy in bulk. There's people trying to sell 1 pound each but I always buy 5 for 4 GBP or 10 for 7. They sell for atleast 2-3 GBP each. Some for 5 each. so 7-8 GBP (10$) turns into 30-40 GBP (40-50$).

Basically enough to pay my rent (shared house) and have a high quality meal once a week.
