What's the weirdest thing you've done for a job application or as part of an interviewing process?

Do people take it too far in trying to stand out?

in army I had to shave my beard

that's the weirdest thing I had to do

people are so submissive these days

it's just like they forgot the words "honor" and "dignity" exist

whats the point of this? how the fuck does this show youre going to be a good fit for the position because you cut out some cardboard. this is the type of person that thinks a diploma or certificate goes far in the real world.

it's worse than that. dude is using this to market himself as a graphic designer, but the design is a rip off of kelloggs existing design.
it's like he's trying to hit a home run by being "different" and "creative" but he's just slammed the bat into his own head. big yikes

You mean you've applied for jobs before and not sent boxes of cereal? How else did you apply if not that way?

Today they asked me with what song would I describe myself and my working ethic. Next they gave me a piece of paper and asked to 'do something creative' out of it.

Looks like your typical NPC faggot so I hope the box was shredded and the cereal stomped into carpet.

What fucking company does this? I was asked to describe myself as a piece of food and give reasons why. This was about the time I had just finished as a student and wanted some restaurant job to keep me in money as I was searching for something better. There were shit loads of applicants all licking the interviewer's taint and describing themselves as french toast and the like. Imagine how boomers would feel jumping through these sorts of fucking hoops.

I got my current job where I identified myself as "African American" on my application and HR asked what percentage and I panicked and said I was 1/32 black... the white HR lady just accepted it and didn't even bother to check even though I'm filipino. lol

I doubt she cared either way. One of HR's goal is to make sure the company is reaching their diversity quota. You aren't white so that's all they were probably looking for.

I stuck a sharpie in my pooper during a Skype interview. They didn’t ask but I figured it couldn’t hurt. I did not get the job.

This is what I was banking on... the fact that HR only needs to check a box, and also, how can they even prove I'm not part black? Hell, Elizabeth warren went to Harvard and then got elected pretending to be Native American, and still claims that today.

Don't hate the player, hate the game...

They won't be able to find out or make you prove that you are what you said you are. If you can pull it off then go for it man, more power to you.

Nothing that bad, weirdest thing I saw was during a group interview where we were all given one of those ‘follow the directions trick tests like pic related.

Like, most people got given that shit back in school when we were 7, worst part was that some people actually fell for it.

Had to plan a birthday party for the founder of the company with other applicants.
That was the moment I lost hope.
