Are smartphone manufacturers out of ideas? Why has the camera been the biggest feature every year since 2016? Smartphones seem like yearly release video games now.

The purpose of smartphones is for degenerate whores to take pictures of themselves then upload them to their social media.
So it kinda makes sense the entire device is built around the camera.

Smart phones have matured and become stagnant. They are like fridges. Everyone has one. They all do the same things.

Same thing happened to wrist watches. They overpriced themselves to oblivion, now people only wear cheap digital watches or none at all.

It’s all part of the plan. You can’t force something like a neural linked computer onto the general population in such a short amount of time. It’s only been 12 years since the first iPhone. Smartphones first need to reach a saturation point so that they become like a new appendage given even to your infant children. Eventually the reliance on a physical device will become too much of a burden and your species will then willingly begin to implant ever more advanced technologies which will ultimately lead to AI replacing the more transcendent aspects of the human soul.

Can any /biz/ anon seriously tell me what is propping up and warrenting the 1.11 trillion dollar marketcap that Apple and Microsoft have? I suppose I understand Microsoft because they are everywhere and so heavily integrated, but Apple??? Seems like a steep evaluation for a company that doesn't even have the Asian market down to a significant degree.

The stock market is a proxy for fed printing at this point, and the public buys market weighted etfs which flow into these megacaps. Lots of estimate "beats" by money hemorrhaging companies this season

What even is a big service that really develloped this decade and made big bucks.
Netflix and UBER are the only two i can think of.
Thats pretty crappy compared to
90's: Microsoft, intel, Cisco
00's: Amazon, google, apple
The stock market is still surfing on 4 of these companies that were innovaters 1 or 2 decades ago.

Every smartphone "innovation" first has to be pushed to the extreme for it to stop advancing. First it was making the phone as ridiculously tiny as possible, then the literal opposite of making it as big as possible, then the removal of physical space and making the screen to size ratio 1:1 with the current extreme of literally the entire phone being nothing but the screen being made and then the cycle continues.
Same thing with cameras, until they put every single possible small lens on the back of the phone it's not going to stop.
