Not him, but you can do the bare minimum DEWM for about 450 bucks and get dividends all but 3 weeks of the year. Payout varies, but for instance, the week of October 18th I made about 2 dollars per DEWM, in addition to the value of the grouping going up. But the week before that I only made 40 cents because only one of the stocks paid that week. Since I started 3 months ago I've made about 7.55. Not impressive, especially compared to holding the same value in VTI on Vanguard, but it's better than the nothing that value of cash would have generated.

I usually add 100-200$ a month to my broker account, sometimes more, sometimes less but I try to be consistent with it. However, I gravitated towards at the very least have 1500-2000$ when opening a position. Buying shares for 100$ drives me insane since the fluctuation in price is very slow. What do you guys do if you add small amounts to your account? Keep the cash aside or constantly buy low value positions ?

Small price fluctuations shouldn't matter if you're in it for the long turn since you expect the price to double or whatever in a few years. You probably don't have one investment either, right? I came up with DEWM to see how viable doing it cheaply is. It just means that if you plan to trade it frequently SPY is better because the bid-ask spread is tighter and way more orders sitting there.
