4. Research the project before investing

The easy way: pony up $10k and buy following - 30% BTC, 30% ETH, 30% LINK, 5% BAT, 5% NEO. Use coinbase pro to buy these, it's pretty straightforward. Forget about your portfolio for 18 months and you will have over $1 million.

While you are waiting these 18 months, start researching, reading the forums, dabble in technical analysis, flip a few shitcoins with the money you're ready to lose. In a year or so you will be a proficient shitcoin flipper and can try to go high-risk. And no, don't touch your main portfolio until autumn 2021

just go to coinbasepro.com, deposit your usd there, buy btc, then transfer it to another exchange or just leave it on coinbasepro (I for instance use bybit since I personally want to margin trade. I dont recommend you use bybit until you get a better feel for crypto also u.s. users are banned so you have to use a vpn for that).

There are various exchanges like kucoin and binance.us

Anyways, depositing money to coinbasepro is step 1.

If you for whatever reason want to move your stuff to another exchange, you go to the exchange you want to move it to (i.e. binance.us) and click "withdraw". It will ask you for the amount you want to deposit along with the wallet address (in this example, you find the wallet address by going to coinbasepro and clicking on "deposit". You copy and paste THAT address to the new exchange).

Remember this always. If you copy the address wrong even by just one letter, you lose EVERYTHING. Don't EVER type it in wrong.

Also, be 100% sure if say you want to withdraw btc that you copy the BTC ADDRESS. If you put the wrong crypto address (i.e. chainlink), you will lose all your shit.

so again
1. address must be 100% correct
2. address transfers must be of the same crypto

There's a feature to auto copy it. ALWAYS use that and ALWAYS double check anyways
