Use Coinbase Pro or at least make your buys less frequent so you buy more at once and stop paying that recurring fee

You are getting pounded on fees man
This is very important
Get an account on coinbase pro
Send your cash there
Do all your buying with limit orders on pro
Fees are much lower
Thank me later

Isn't the fees like 0.5% now??
There are other places thats cheaper.

>> No.16045976

For limits: pick a price at which to buy that is lower than current price.
Type it in the price box.
Click max on the amount (or whatever amount you want to buy).
Click buy.

Worry about stops later.

>>16045933
Yes the fees are worse than they used to be but 0.5% is a little better than 10%.
Gemini and Kraken msy ne cheaper but I haven't checked in a while.

just whenever you feel you want to buy, set a limit buy order at 1$ lower than current price (or 5$ if volatility is high and you can't manage to send the order), for the amount of BTC you want to buy (or press the MAX button)

if after 15 minutes to an hour you haven't been filled means the price is going up (nobody has market-dumped against your buy wall), so you might want to consider setting a stop-order before you go to bed in case it decides to skyrocket and you want in the pump (be VERY careful). There's a Stop Price, that means if price goes above that you market-buy against the sell wall; up to the Limit Price which you need to input too and makes sure you don't market buy against thin liquidity and get ripped-off.

If I recall correctly, the remaining of the Stop order (if there's any) goes as a limit buy on the buy walls and stay there until it gets filled; might depend on which exchange you're using.

Doesnt a 10% fee mean that you pay 10% no matter how frequently you buy? 10% fee for 10 dollars purchased 10 times is equal to 10 dollars which is the same as paying a one time fee of 10 dollars for a single 100 dollar purchase.
