It took almost 4 years for Google to even get funding, and many more before it was used at mass. People here are quick to shit on NKN without really knowing what they're doing. They've already got one major signed contract and working on another right now which is likely to be released by end of year. Their network could be picked up and developed on for free by anyone, but that'll take time. The whole idea of NKN is that people won't know they're using it - such as CloudFlare for example. Most wouldn't know it existed if it weren't for website's going down and being presented with a CloudFlare page - and yet, it's worth billions. Biz often thinks NKN will go nowhere because your average person won't know it exists, but then your average person doesn't know AWS exists either. NKN will make an absolute fortune as a massive global network, behind the scenes, eventually running an insane amount of data all around the world at high speeds, and low latency.

Their next client to be signed already serves 100M+ paying customers. Do you honestly think they'll sign with NKN and not a single one of their competitors or sister-businesses will want in too? Adoption will come slowly for NKN, but it will snowball. The growth we'll see long-term will be ridiculous, but I believe it's too much of a hold for most here.

CloudFlare is worth billions, and that's just one service NKN can compete with on top of their network. Their nCDN will go after CloudFlare's market, and TUNA will go after general cloud-computing and Google's Stadia.

In their defense, they are taking the approach as a regular startup that needs the blockchain. Nothing fancy about it, the coin is only there to reward nodes relaying data. They will use revenue (which they earn in fiat) to buy from the market as well. That's it.

They aren't advertising like WHOA INTERNET ON BLOCKCHAIN GOOD FAST COIN WILL PUMP NEEDED FOR FEES STAKING LOLBUZZWORDS. Just an interesting concept. They might fail, but they seem solid.

Also a guaranteed face melting pump IF they can endure without going broke or exit scamming the other half of the bear market (which should end late 2020 or early 2021).
