Lol.
I back checked to 2013
There has never been a pump higher than 30% in such a short period in a liquid market. Which means in all btc history, there has never been this number of rekt bobos before. Lmao it has pumped more before like from 2$ to 4$ but back then there was no liquidity and no instruments to short with.

How rekt did u get?

Also been here since 2013. Looking at the daily on bitstamp, I can't find a green dildo that went up this much is this short of a timeframe. Crazy stuff. After 2017 the market behaves so weird. Everything is barts and sharp 90° angels. What is causing this? Leverage?

>> No.16037212

>>16037199

Yes.
We never had leverage before, let alone most the volume being leveraged.

I've not been much into BTC between 2014 and 2018. When did Bitmex launch?

>> No.16037242

>>16037199
Probably leverage. But probably also because there are more diverse opinions now and sentiment. So trends don't tend to last as long as they used to. 2015-2017 was almost all up with only brief corrections. 2018-2019 has way more swing in it. And greedy bears who refused to close when they were in huge profit just got shown what greed does to you. I think thats the real reason behind this.

Bears got way to greedy targeting below 6k and some big buyers took advantage of their greed. So many shorts got opened in the exact range Bitcoin pumped just now and with so many shorts refusing to close it was bound to happen. I mean you could see it on the exchange even. They put huge sellwalls up and execute huge short orders whenever there's the slightest sign of a pump/reversal. And then they got a last wave where it took only so very little to trigger a huge snowball of stops and liquidations.

Whales being eaten by bigger whales.

BitMex has been around since 2015. But the market was very different then. Markets change, they aren't static. New players enter and old players exit.
Most of 2015 was retail and they only knew how to go long. 2018-2019 saw an influx of more professional traders who have a more refined opinion than ''M000n''!!

The volume spike on BTC didn't translate to the volume anywhere else. This is an almost sure sign of an "organic pump" that will dump as soon as they reach their goal. I'm selling 50% @ 12k because I don't believe that they can push it past that, even with this volume.
