16017081 No.16017081 [Reply] [Original]

Hi, I work at one of the 50 startups working with chainlink and I've been lurking here for a while.

If you're wondering why the price is pumping, it's because the team will announce Decnodes tomorrow and most of the big investors have been informed.

We're helping them test it out and Decnodes basically is short for decentralized nodes that can be created by anyone holding a certain amount of link tokens, and it they will be the basis of staking.

What this means is that any company that uses chainlink will be able to monetize its services using Decnodes without the need for ads simply by using the user's browser to keep consensus.

Tldr, I work with Chainlink and they are going to announce Decnodes soon. They are the basis for staking. This is going to be really big and this is why the price is pumping.

50% of American workers earn less than $33,000 per year. That's about 22 ounces of gold per year, before taxes. Over 100 years ago, without any government mandates, minimum wage laws, or labor unions, Henry Ford paid his factory line workers 65 ounces of gold per year, tax-free. Many of those workers earning less than 22 ounces of gold today have expensive college degrees. Most of the Ford workers earning 65 ounces of gold 100 years ago did not even attend high school, let alone graduate. High School grads had much higher paying jobs!

So the decnode is like running on top of another node somewhere? Its a NaaS?
How do you run a node without setting up a node? Is it like an API that serves data through a random node from a pool?

I guess you could say NaaS yes. Instead of paying a monthly subscription, users will buy chainlink tokensa and stake them on the service's Decnode to cover their costs.

The whole idea of it is that when smart contracts catch on, it will be very challenging to keep up with the demand for oracles.

The best way to solve this is to let the public participate. Essentially any company can decide to monetize its services using Decnodes.
