Is that Pi network shit really worth anything? Are they datamining or something? Give me a quick rundown.

It’s closer to a social experiment than anything. A social experiment by Stanford crypto professors/students. Maybe they will pivot their project to something meaningful, maybe they will not. 6 months ago I emailed the professors in their dot edu addresses to make sure it was not a larp. They replied then made a video for the app so everyone knew. Nice chaps but worthless as it stands.

Consider this: pi just shot up from 650K to 1 Million users in just under a month and they're projected to get 10 million EOY at this pace. If you join now that would mean that you would be around top 10% of Pi holders. It's a click a day, who cares if they wind up being worthless.
