IQ is difficult to explain and understand what it actually shows and what it doesn't show.

Watching the documentary about Chris Langan changed my view on IQ. The guy is clearly very intelligent, but the quality of his thoughts are less than impressive. He also seems to be caught in a lot of emotional/personal issues e.g. I was bullied in school because i was so intelligent and the other kids were jealous ( a sensible man would perhaps reflect on that he was bullied because he had an unlikeable personality and his arrogance and sense of superiority made him hostile toward the other kids which they then responded to ).

my parents took me to do a professional one when i was a kid cause i skipped a year in school and was considered a genius. turned out i was nowhere near genius levels with 125 iQ and was just very good at maths.
to just assume having >140 iQ without evidence you'd have to be <100 iQ like OP lmfao

anyone else like this? My IQ is around mid 120s, but it's around 140+ when it comes to maths. I always seem to shock people, because, while I appear intelligent, I don't appear genius smart, unless it's involving math.
