i just listened to an interview with sergey and i feel like everyone on here who's bullish on link must be autistic or something

smart contracts, from what i can tell, seem to be a form of digital escrow that prevent either party from reneging on their contractual responsibility. so here is my question to stinklets: why would ANY insurance company or bank adopt this sort of technology?

do you guys remember the line from "fight club" where he says that if the cost of lawsuits is less than the cost of doing a recall for the auto manufacturer he works for, they don't do one?

insurance companies LOVE reneging on their obligations and dragging out court cases until their customers fold. and customers hardly ever reneg (that would just mean a policy cancellation) so these breaches of contract are always one sided

TL;DR autismo stinklets think that chainlink will be the next big thing because it makes business more honest and efficient but the business world thrives on dishonesty and inefficiency - thats how everyone gets paid

also smart contracts will replace most policy writers with automated processes for smaller policies such as health, life, dental, auto, and mortgage insurance. any insurance provider that wants to save money on employee's and advertise they have a better product than their competitors will obviously be involved

Because smart contracts will result in ASTRONOMICAL cost cutting, generating massive profits for the first company who leaps onto the tech first. From there all it takes is this one company doing well, forcing everyone else to adopt smart contracts or be left in the dust. After that, it's all network effects.
