Here's the thing about day trading... It doesn't get easier overall. You sort of get better at it and you refine your process, but it's still a fucking nightmare and life will only get harder and less accommodating to it. It's hard enough to pay the bills with it when it's just you and the thot of the month. If the thot of the month should for whatever reason become the thot of several years and maybe even the mother of a child or two, the pressure to perform builds and builds.

Then, for no reason at all the markets can start to just behave differently and you'll be on a time limit to try to figure out why and the entire time hope it's something that can be worked around or your income flow might never meaningfully start up again. Good thing you have those trading skills and experience though which so many businesses are looking for in the event things go south...lol...

See, most businesses that you would start, assuming they get off the ground, you start to get in a rhythm and you feel the momentum build. The business takes on a life of its own. You make contacts in different industries. You get exposure and experience to different parts in the value chain. You FEEL progress. You get comfortable. There's even prestige to some extent. There's almost none of that in day trading.

Everything around you is trying to kill you at all times. Bare minimum, your broker, the market, and the government are all trying their best to stomp your fucking head in. No one in your life will understand what you're doing. They'll understand the money until it stops, but you are utterly and totally alone in the struggle. "Educators" and other snake oil salesman will try to pick you to pieces every step of the way. If you achieve that mythical level of consistent profitability, you'll now be like an athlete where you're only as good as your last fight.
