Also, why do you want to "diversify" (meme) any more than that already?

Each extra coin you buy is effectively saying "the coins I have already will not be successful, or at least less successful, than this one"

You can see the paradox in this. Already by holding spare BTC and ETH you're saying that LINK/QNT are going to fail so you need a backup. In which case, why hold those at all, right?

Diversifying within crypto is a meme, it's mainstream investment advice aimed at RETAINING wealth by diversifying over //different asset classes altogether//

So, two problems:

1) Crypto is pretty much all the same and it all sinks and swims together. You aren't diversifying by holding different cryptos, not in the slightest. Coins will go up and down at different rhythms (and when they all come into sync that's what we call a bubble, eh) but they are basically all just leveraged derivatives of bitcoin.

2) I presume you're not rich yet, and you want to make money. In which case, diversifying is a bad idea. Especially this kind of meme diversification. As that cunt said, put all your eggs in one basket and watch that basket very carefully.

But this is why I asked for your stack size because we can't give serious help without know that. Are you a 5-figure poorfag or already into the millions? That makes a BIG difference.

srsly though, QNT won't even be in the top 50 performers of whatever-year-the-GBR comes, it will be some ridiculous 50k-50mil utter shitcoin random as fuck thing. But those are impossible to predict. What you have with QNT (or whatever people like) is the ideal balance between returns potential, and certainty of those returns.

But yea anyway, you need to tell us your stack sizes else you're just going to get everyone spamming the name of their pet coin which you have definitely already heard of.

I have the balls to ride out dips, I don't feel the need to buy more if I've amassed a good enough stack. Besides, isn't that what fiat's for?

If you find a coin you believe in, at a good entry point, load in all the ETH you can find. Holding some aside is so weird. There is so much provably unprofitable meme advice going around.

The whole run on XRP was because of bank partnerships which was the whole reason 'muhhh partnership' was a meme in 2017/2018. It was the first time an altcoin was actually getting serious connections with the real world, hence the pumps by cryptonormies. Right now the only way to get a legit pump is if it has an actual usecase (in terms of technology in the cryptospace) like LINK or Ethereum as cryptonormies won't buy the partnerships anymore.
