decentralized exchanges don't have fiat. you would convert your illicit monero for perhaps bitcoin. You would then send your bitcoin to your regulated exchange and sell it for fiat. Your exchange is fully compliant for KYC and AML regulations. They see you're getting alot of bitcoin. Your government gets curious. You are going to jail for that illegal activity that required money laundering.

There is no future for privacy coins. Money laundering will be better with fiat currencies. not fucking monero. It adds a second layer of bullshit for no reason. There is no benefit for using a privacy coin when there is no direct conversion to fiat without raising the suspicion of the IRS.

what do you think happens to bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency in this scenario? why would anyone use a "non-privacy" coin if they're going to be subject to even worse surveillance standards than fiat? you're basically saying that all crypto is doomed. "privacy" isn't a cute added-on feature, it's essential to anything claiming to be a medium of exchange. even most bitcoin boomers understand this (and push inferior garbage like coin mixing). very low IQ posts.
