I own a decent stack but it seems like a bigger gamble than anything else because it's basically trying to supplant an established multi-billion dollar industry.

Brave/BAT are literally taking on Google/Facebook/the internet as we know it. That's a massive hurdle. If they succeed, even in a small, niche way - BAT could be huge and see big numbers.

I think they're making progress but they have a long ways to go. They will need more funding I think. More funding means more people involved and less control for Brendan and Co. I imagine. I don't know, it's a risky endeavor but I think BAT is an insanely good idea.

They might be taking on fb/google, but those companies are entirely propped up by the advertisers. There is nothing FB or Google can do for their advertisers other than starting a race to the bottom in which brave would ultimately win after human capital sucks fb/google dry.

Where brave/BAT stands out is that so far the advertisements have been performing better than industry standard for CTR, and they are also cheaper and have less competition. BAT could thrive in just a niche market. Just imagine what it could do if it holds a place in the global digital advertising market like twitter. $100 BAT is a possibility
