benzo withdrawal is the worst, pure anguish for hours, restlessness, racing nonsensical creepy thoughts, pure awaken nightmare
but it'll pass after a few hours and you'll sleep, the racing thoughts thing can comeback in the two three days after but in a very weaker form and less creepy, just depressing thoughts
and you'll generally feel like shit until around 4 days but you recover and start feeling normal again after the first horrible night and can get comfy like if you just had a cold

that shit is like candies its impossible to be reasonable with it
should be kept for the occasional relief and then forgotten for at least a week
even better is not having any at your place since just knowing they're there is enough to bend your will at the first frustration you experience or just makes you wanna chill benzoed all the time

Take some very short acting benzo like Triazolam (Halcion), it's used for insomnia and doesn't build up your tolerance too much

Short acting benzos produce the most brutal benzo withdrawals because of their short half life. Triazolam has half life of 1.5–5.5 hours. Xanax has half life double of Triazolam, and Xanax withdrawals are probably considered one of the worst when it comes to benzos.

The only safe bet is to use benzos like Valium/Diazepam which have half life up to 50 hours; but it can vary from 20–100 hours. Moderate doses. Never used longer than few days in a row.
