Alright, here's a business idea for you fucks. How about a webhost that offers Dead Man's Switch services for paranoid individuals who a) believe they have sensitive information and b) that the glowniggers are coming for them?

>Many people with sensitive info might not be tech savvy enough or have the time to build their own DMS solutions
>Offer a one-time fee per data payload for professionally managed DMS services
>End-to-end encryption means the service never has access to the files in question
>Extreme server redundancy across a wide range of privacy-first countries means takedown is impossible
>Offer convenient features like pre-built lists of media outlets to disseminate info to if the switch triggers, SMS reminders about expiring triggers, etc

Feasible or no?

This will be used by child pornographers and you will face criminal charges for facilitating their destruction of evidence

It's funny you say this because it wasn't too long ago I was reading some /pol on Julian Assange's dead man switch. Was news to me that Wikileaks may have uploaded files into the bitcoin blockchain as well to keep the government from censoring them. I always imagined his so-called dead man switch being a smart contract.

I feel like it could be restricted to text files only, since that is generally the format that sensitive information would be in.

Alternately, you could scrap the file hosting part of it and require people to load their payloads to third party sites like mega using encrypted zips. And then they would only host the password, encrypted, on the service's site.

But yeah, CP tends to hose up any kind of file hosting plan in a hurry.

Why does anyone trust a VPN?
