No, as “PowerPoint” is a subsidiary o Microsoft. I’m not sure you understand how analogies work.

See: ChainLink is a shitcoin software launched on the Ethereum blockchain (which is a shitcoin software in itself). You can’t run PowerPoint without an Operating System: I.E. Microsoft’s Windows. You could say that “PowerPoint” has become “OS agnostic” since you can now use it on other operating systems. Also, PowerPoint does a lot more stuff than just allowing someone to put text and pictures into a digital rectangle to be displayed on a monitor. But that took a LONG time to accomplish with lots of licensing and other legal issues.

Currently, ChainLink is just on Ethereum and only allows you to do trivial, useless things. Maybe in a long time you’ll be able to use it for some school projects and other presentations.

You still don't get it.

The value proposition of Chainlink is much higher then Ethereum. Why?

many reasons, but this is the biggest one (I don't have time to go through all the reasons)

Value will go to where the Data is and the data is in the Chainlink oracle network. The computation of data will happen between the nodes and then written to the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum is esentially just a template to execute a digital aggrement. In the future why would Ethereum be worth more? especially when other private and public contracts chains are using Chainlink?

Don't you see? Ethereum is the cash register that receives money and executes the sale (so to speak). And there are other cash registers like hedera hashgraph, polkadot etc.... But, Chainlink is the product, the cash and the person walking to the register. Which do one do you think is replaceable and what would you value more?

Understanding Smartcontracts and what they are used for is understanding the value of both Ethereum and Chainlink. Anybody that thinks Chainlink will not surpass Ethereum and Bitcoin in the future is stuck in 2017 still basing value on TPS and other technical nuances. Poor souls.
