We're entering into a new grand solar minimum that is going to cause widespread temperature drops, crop failures, and starvation. First priority is to buy self-defense tools and food to survive on during the early years. If you live in a city, consider buying a rural stronghold such as a former Titan missile launch complex.

I'm going to give you the best advice you're going to get out of this place: if you're already living comfortably without that money, get with a professional investment firm and start dumping the money into mutual funds and Roth IRA. Personally I recommend staying safe to moderate risk and get something in the 5% to 10% return range. Save that money for retirement, when you hit 62-65, that money should be close to or more than a million which will not make you rich but will allow you to live comfortably on top of collecting social security and any other pensions.

Or be a dumbass and invest in some cryptocurrency scam.

Mate I will give you the best advice here, ignore the trolls here.
You have 250$, dumping the money into investment firms is completely idiotic in this period of time, we have fucking recession coming, you'll lose everything. Please don't throw your money into some stupid ass fund and then get your nerves wrecked when you see market crashing. Those firms will fucking scam your ass, trust me I know.
Now, DCA some of that money into BTC only, maybe 10-20k until you have few BTCs.
You have 230k left, don't do anything with it before you backpack in Europe. You will get knowledge, you will get different perspective, you will learn. I would not recommend big cities and popular turist places, insead travel in smaller towns, there are AMAZING places in Europe that nobody knows about. Go and live there for a while, it's not expensive.
Go travel my friend.

Your 'friend' probably knows even less than you and is talking from ignorance. With your initial capital you could easily be a millionaire in 10 years with very little skill.

What are your goals and how much time can you spend?
Mine is to make $3 mil then just live of the the returns I can make off that which is 7% - 10% with very little management and I can dedicate like 10 hours a week at least.

Since your new the biggest thing is not to lose capital while activating your brain.
I would buy:
5% Gold/ Silver
5% BTC
20% SP500 index fund
https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/profile/VFINX
75% cash
These investment amounts are big enough to get you looking at price action while none of them will go to zero.

Keep in cash until you learn how you like to trade/invest
Then with whatever you save for the future from the 70k you can do some of the more risky trades like buying shitcoins, small cap stocks and options.

Oh shit your kind of well set. Hmmmm ok long term passive income option buy property in the Saudi Arabia of wind. I'm dead serious. Buy dirt cheap property primarily in Nebraska and Kansas. You want to get like 4 wind turbines on that land. Depending on the area you can earn about 4-6k annually per turbine. It may be a steep initial investment but with no debt or mortgage you can realistically retire by 45. Also buying some gold and then burying it somewhere in your land would be a good idea you can then make a map and shit for your relatives one day instead of giving them shit in the will.

The point of having millions at 65 is not so you can buy sportscars and live in a huge mansion. Its so that when you're too old to work, you will have financial stability. Having a chunk of cash in the bank will mean you have buying power when blood is in the streets in the next 2-3 years.
