Today was an awful wagecuck day.

Today I woke up after 7 hours and 20 minutes of sleep, even though I slept before midnight. I felt tired all day.

Then I only spent 20 minutes browsing the internet and drinking coffee in the morning but my train was so slow for some reason, so I only got in right on 9 am. Leaving before 5 is a big psychological boost and I'd have to leave right at 5 to work 8 hours.

The first thing I did was have some sort of "sandwich session" with other new employees. It really reiterated how awkward in conversation and ugly I am. When the group was thinning out, the last remaining other employee seemed really desperate not to be left alone with me.

I can't speak properly due to nervousness and fear of social judgement. And I ask people questions. But after each answer by the other person, it's like the group jolts in to an awkward stop.

I had my 30 minutes of lunch time later on and it was a waste from every perspective except not working. 30 minutes isn't good enough for a good 4chan browsing session.

Then right at the end of the day the people in my office, including both of my managers, decide to have an impromptu meeting and discussion so I had to stay more than 8 hours. They all arrived an hour or more after me as well and obviously if I point out that I arrived at 9 and my 8 hours were up, they'd think badly of me. Hopefully they won't care if I leave early tomorrow.

Nothing in my job is rewarding intellectually or gives me a lot of responsibility. I feel like a corporate janitor. I'm on a graduate scheme with 4 9 month placements so hopefully my next one will be good. But it's so boring.
