so at my university here in south africa there were some wankers shilling their bsv app and I got 0.0148 worth from them. The thing is they just claim it as bitcoin, and dont say that it's a fork by an australian scam artist. Also you "buy" bitcoin by going to a supermarket that has a qr code scanner pay app thing and thats how to get the bsv. And to pay for groceries you basically once again use one of the centralised scanner-pay apps which defeats the whole purpose.

Also my normie friends literally know nothing about crypto, so you can be sure that adoption will never happen, even with convenient almost retard proof apps. Here is the convo:
me: the value of bitcoin is the fact that you can't create it out of thin air and have to mine it, which is really difficult
him: mining? no thats not how bitcoin works. Companies and businesses let you handle their computing tasks on your computer, and then you have a bitcoin account that holds your bitcoin

give it up fellas, unless people are literally explained from young at school how crypto and blockchains work then this will never take off. even then people are probably far too dumb to understand it

In my country crypto is forbidden to use as legal tender (i.e. in stores), I believe similar regulations will hit the rest of the world sooner or later.

No he already had his mind made up about what it was. Also the "available at your local supermarket" is defeated if whatever scanner payer app they use drop them.
