The Ultra blockchain week in Korea was a big success. Ultra, Eos , and 3 block producers. This sounds very promising for the future. mainnet is in October, thats this month. I have big hopes for only 2 million marketcap!

>> No.15851124

Don't forget Ubisoft

>> No.15851161

Will it be able to compete with steam or other competitors? The gaming space is immense big , if ULTRA can get a small piece it's already an achievement

I agree with you anon.
The marketcap is still very small and if the product generate revenue and even make profit then the token can only go up.

Also you can get player rewards ,and resell games. Steam is now a monopoly and they don't allow that, basically thats illegal

They should giveaway some free games to attract people. I will use this shit if they give me rocket league for free.

new exchanges should arise soon + real world partnerships

this project is heavily undervalued, even with 10x it will just sit at 20mil. That's nothing for the gaming / blockchain industry

there is no useful "blockchain technology" it doesn't exists it's just a buzword to dump fake money on retarded incels. bitcoin is unique it's success and story will never be repeated. and it's not going away, but it really is not good for anything aside from existing as a trustless permisisonless publicly auditable ledger. it won't save the world it won't make banks go away it won't ruin cc companies and it's shitforks will never amount to anything.

Yes to everything, but it is also the best ponzi machine ever created.

And to all the cheap pajeets in this thread: what makes ULTRA special in regards of DRM that cannot be applied to any other media? Why blockchain at all? Why gaming? Where is the fucking repo? Why do you need a token?

>> No.15853741

>>15852798
There is useful blockchain technology being used by cooperations already. Bitcoin is unique solving the immutability problem, now there are industries like remittance and gaming that are already or close to using blockchain technology. Ultra is just one of the many players within the space that is offering a decentralized solution. The edge of Ultra however is that unlike Enjin and WAX it's tackling a wider scope. Ultra encompasses both Enjins and WAX technology integrates that in their ecosystem and expands on the features.

>> No.15853817

>>15853563
Example is taking the idea of what Enjin and Ultra both set out to do. Backing up the value of a digital asset. Ultra makes it possible in their dev kit to fuse the token with the digital asset to create an asset with a backed value. This is just one feature bringing a lot of possibilities.

Immutability solves your DRM question. People are not able to copy digital assets without changing the hash of the smart contract. Rendering it useless.

The gaming community is familiar with the concept of digital currencies. This makes them very likely to be early adopters of the technology.

There are also soooo many shit ones. Epic launcher is just a big joke and many more.
Top ones are Steam and battle.net and Ultra when it starts to run.
Really excited to try any kind of a player beta.

Everyone is talking about the platform, but what about the token value? What is the usage of the token in the ultra ecosystem?

>> No.15854620

>>15852947
The illusion that exchanges bring value is still prevalent on this board I guess. The only way this Is worth it's valuation and keeps growing is if they have proposals with companies to actually use the tech. Luckily they spilled the beans in a recent tweet leaking that they have 100+ game devs ready.

Well catching an exchange pump is always nice. We’re in a bearish market, so every piece of news might not have an impact now, but might be the fuel that will later make it suddenly shoot through the roof later.

Yeah just like how project list on Binance and people are selling the pump and it goes back to levels before the rumour of the exchange listing. Please, exchange have an overvalued image. Those days are over, the market is maturing.

bullshit there is nothing that blockchain does relational databases can't do a billion times better for a private company.
same for "oracles" the data provider is always a trusted authority it can just simply sign the data and be done with this oracle nonsense.

Blockchain underlying technology ensures that transactions are accurate, transparent and immutable. When you’re working across a large number of individual stakeholders, there’s always the fundamental presence of inconsistency. Even if you completely trust the other person, human error is unavoidable.

So the main difference between a blockhain and a traditional database is that all records secured on a database are centralized, each participant on a blockchain has a secured copy of all records and all changes so each user can view the provenance of the data. The magic happens when there’s an inconsistency — since each participant maintains a copy of the records, blockchain technology will immediately identify and correct any unreliable information.

When data can automatically identify and correct itself based on coded business logic (smart contracts) and consensus, participants are intrinsically able to trust it. When two businesses work together, they almost never share a single database with a single set of records, because the database is being maintained and updated by a database administrator (DBA). That DBA is being paid by one of the companies and thus has a stake in the success of one company but not necessarily the other. If they want to make a change that benefits their company, the other company would never know.

>> No.15855402

>>15854834
Your statement is not completely correct and I can understand the misunderstanding because of some overlapping features but both databases and blockchains have different use cases
