Studied business, 5 years out.
Now extra comfy working a union job and own my own tax shop. It doesn't really matter where you go, but how effectively you can dedicate yourself to things. You don't always have to have it planned out, but you do have to be able to think on your feet and be goal oriented. I wanted to hit $1m+ net worth by 30, and will surpass that. Don't get caught up in Thottery, I've seen too many good men fall prey to wallet harpies. Godspeed anon.

"Business" is a laughable discipline, it's just universities/admins with zero integrity covering the gamut of the potential student body and it's literally impossible for it to get you a job. I've barely met any "business" majors IRL with jobs. Unless you're at a school where the name opens doors, it's just effectively a liberal arts major for people who are trying to avoid majoring in liberal arts but don't want to study.

What did you specifically major in?

I have a bachelors in business/economics from a low status city college and can safely say it is a scam, and teaches more how to play-by-the-book type of shit. You can't teach genuine business savvy or entrepreneurship to someone, people are born with that particular affinity. At least that's my opinion. As a matter of fact, all college in the modern era is a flaming scam by this definition. The entire world can't be businessmen, some of us are going to have to scrub toilets and clean public parks right? So just drop college and go be a homeless wanderer and DIY travel vlogger instead.

So what do YOU do?

>> No.15845082

Its going fine. I am at a fintech startup, though I don't love it.

I would only recommend anyone study business at a very good business school, or at least study finance to learn some technicals. All other Business degrees like marketing, HR, and management are memes.

Accounting is good from a material level but fuck being a CPA

I do account management and data entry fag tier shit and get paid relatively decent, luckily, but its all just networking. I did not even show my diploma when I got hired at my current job.

>> No.15845349

I'm 28, just started going back to finish a bachelors in business administration and will likely add a minor in finance or accounting. I have some networking capabilities but all of them say I need a bachelors just to get through the HR department. Am I fucked?
