Wew lad, a thread where people are actually discussing real investments.

I hold a selection of vanguard funds and some small cap company shares. Some good news too. One of them has a new director, one of them has started to issue bonds to raise some capital. I'm also invested in a mining company which has found some good mineral readings and they hope to explore drilling programmes soon.

They are traded as shares and so unless you buy in volume you're going to get rekt with trading fees. Also, they have their own prices they trade at, which is undesirable for people who just want simple and passive investing.

It is much easier and gives greater peace of mind to just use dollar-cost averaging and regularly invest into a cheap index tracker
