If I want a job with a three letter agency am I going to have to cut my hair/shave my neckbeard?

I want that tasty small NSA salary but I dont want to lose what I've been growing for years. I don't mind dressing formally though.

>three letter agency
>not six letter

It's like you don't even want to operate

Did you say something? All I can focus on are those distracting flesh bags

Depends on the agency and if you go in as military or civilian.

You said NSA, so may I assume that you're mostly interested in SIGINT?

I've interviewed with NSA, they say they don't give a shit what you look like. Of course that's their outward policy. Your hiring manager may think differently

Civillian and about halfway through school for an IT degree. Really want to be a spook. I've noticed the NSA is way more into hiring undergrads then the CIA is in terms of sys admin or network security people so mostly looking at them.

Hmm well that's pretty reassuring since most jobs I've had even outwardly want a business like appearance.

Why don't you want to shave or get a haircut?

So you're after SIGINT. I don't know the hiring process for NSA on the civilian side, but going into the Air Force as a 14NX (intelligence officer) and specializing in SIGINT/Analysis will net you a TS clearance, bonus points on an application because of ex military, hands on experience, and might get you in as a soldier if you request to work for/with the NSA early on.

If you can't get hired as a civilian initially I'd recommend going to OCS for the Air Force after college, specializing in SIGINT during your training, and when you get out applying to work as a federal civilian or contractor for the NSA while your clearance is still "current" the first year out of the military.

m8 if you're on 4chan I wouldn't even try.
chances are you've said some pretty terrible things, looked at questionable age girls/CP, participated in digital piracy, maybe even used LOIC. All of that shit would be instant disqualification WHEN they discover it, and they will.

No it's not.

No. NSA, in my experience, is staffed by unkempt shoe gazers.
